Posted on Robin McIntyreTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I would highly recommend Fixio for the highly professional and knowledgeable staff .previously Jackson Foster sorted out an issue and now Danny Shaw is working on a foot issue. I have found that they are great at treating ,not only sports injuries but oldies as well . Jaeme is an absolute miracle worker - with her support I’ve been running injury free for almost a year, for the first time in over a decade. You’re the best!Posted on kate munroTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I've been seeing Jaeme for lower back and hip pain and she's fantastic. She's helped me recover from the initial injury with pain management and now I'm building strength with her gym program to prevent another injury. Highly recommend.Posted on Zander GeraldTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Jaeme Last has exceptional knowledge in general physio and recovery techniques. Especially running related symptoms and how to treat them effectively.Posted on Neil EdwardsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Daniel has looked after me for my broken elbow since straight after the plaster was removed. At every appointment my progress was measured and new exercises given to allow for the slow progress that was occurring early on which is common with this type of injury. Whilst Daniel is very good it is really up to the patient to carry out the stretching and excercises. He supports and encourages you in this endeavour so that you don't give up. He can massage the effected areas, stretch the joint to ease the pain, apply acupuncture to help the muscles relax and does this with a personality that makes even a painful session not as bad. I'd recommend him to anyone in the same situation as I've been in.Posted on Pine AppleTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. After having numerous treatments with other Physio’s I tried FIXIO. NO ONE LIKE FIXIO I have problems with my shoulder ‘cuff tear’ and Jaeme has guided me though what I required. I’m almost gave up on Physiotherapy but these guys are above the rest. ThankyouPosted on Denisa StřížováTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I highly recommend Fixio! Great experience with Jaeme, I recieved an outstanding care. Jaeme helped me a lot with my long term and painful issues. She is very knowledgable, really listens, analyses and goes extra mile to heal your body. Jaeme is the best, thank you!Posted on Karen TansiniTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I would highly recommend Fixio! Danny Shaw has been my physiotherapist since I had a knee surgery a couple of months ago, and he is not only an excellent professional, but an extremely kind and emphatic person. I have achieved my fitness goals way ahead of time, and he has provided me with a wealth of information for me to continue to move forward. Equally important, Danny has always given me the reassurance I required to feel confident and comfortable concerning my training and day to day activities. My recovery journey would most definitely be a lot harder if it wasn’t for him and Fixio. Forever grateful!Posted on Yohanesh ChaulagainTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had a great experience with Fixio after suffering a calf injury. From the very first appointment, the team made sure I was looked after and followed up regularly until I was completely ready to return to my normal routine and gym sessions. A special shoutout to Jaeme, who was amazing throughout the whole process. She created tailored exercises and progressive workloads that really helped me recover safely and effectively. I highly recommend Fixio Dee Why to anyone needing physio support.
Combining Technology with Expertise
We stride, I mean, strive for long-term running success in all of our patients.
The aspects of your body and your run that we will take a deep dive into are:
- Your mobility and flexibility
- Your muscle strength and endurance
- Your training load (and whether it’s appropriate for your outcomes)
- Footwear advice
- Whole body biomechanics
- Running biomechanics
Once the factors that may be influencing your injury have been identified, a plan can be made to get you running faster as soon as possible!
Most running injuries don’t require you to stop running (and we rarely say that.. And if we do we are hating it as much as you are!). The trick is mostly about modifying those aspects of your run that we can.
READY TO GET BACK TO YOUR BEST?

At Fixio we are utilising advanced technology to accurately assess the biomechanics that an individual uses while running. Our expert physio treatment consists of soft tissue massage, joint mobilisation, dry needling, shockwave and obviously, re-assessing your running biomechanics and ensuring you are improving! A specific individualised Recovery Plan of targeted strength and mobility exercises that are backed by science will be given to you to improve performance and reduce injury risk.
We look forward to bumping into you on a run or seeing you in the clinic soon!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Absolutely not! We regularly complete running assessments on individuals who are looking to prevent their next injury. If you are wanting to have a run assessment done to help in your performance and prevent injury, we are excited to meet you!
We have a treadmill and biomechanics capture software on site at our Dee Why clinic. Ensure that you bring all and any shoes that you have been running in recently and wear appropriate clothing to be on the treadmill at your normal running pace for 5+ minutes.
Book for a New Patient 1 Hour Initial Appointment and write in the “notes” section that you would like a run assessment. In our New Patient Form you will have the opportunity to tell us in detail about your running and injury history. The run assessment may or may not happen in the first appointment depending on what the physiotherapist deems is necessary at the time. It is quite common to spend 2-3 weeks settling your symptoms before we do a run assessment (as your gait and biomechanics change with pain!).
